Comments: I would like to get my FID Card and license to carry, but with six kids it's tough to find the time for training.Last time shot a gun:In 2006 and 2007 at the Massachusetts Outdoor Exposition at the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club in Sturbridge. It was the first time I ever tried skeet shooting. The first time was horrible; I didn't hit a single one. The second time I did much better; I hit every single one!

I DO NOT SUPPORT THE OBAMA administration's efforts to grant AMNESTY and American Citizenship to illegal immigrants presently living within our borders, including his Aunt who lives on taxpayer subsidies, nor his Uncle, most recently arrested for OUI.

When do human beings begin to exist? Biology dictates that that a unique human being, or person, is established at conception.
Until what point should a women be able to abort her baby? Since a person or human being begins at conception, there is no time when a woman should be able to abort her baby.
What reason did you choose that point? The Declaration of the Independence declares that we are endowed by our CREATOR with certain unalienable rights that among these are LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Since a person exists at conception and since our Declaration of Independence declares that our Creator had given persons the unalienable right to life, no man or woman has any ability to deny that right to an unborn person.
Have you ever had the opportunity to promote your views on these issues? (provide an example). Yes. I have delivered a guest sermon at my church on this topic. I have also written columns in Stonebridge Press publications, namely, the Spencer New Leader and the Southbridge Evening News, and have taught classes on civics, ethics, and moral standards in Sunday School classes prolife views and abortion.
Comments: I need to explain the "no" answers to two of the questions: the question about diverting taxpayer funds to abstinence and taxpayer funding of abstinence education. I agree that, if taxpayer funds are used for sex education at all, it should be devoted solely to abstinence. I am, however, opposed to taxpayer funded sex education. This is not a topic that public schools should be addressing at all. It is ripe for abuse, and there are more critical topics that public schools need to address than this. Educating children about sex ought to be left to parents.

As a Tantasqua Regional School Committee member, I have fought against the indoctrination of children into believing that homosexuality is normal. I have written columns in Stonebridge Press publications, namely, the Spencer New Leader and the Southbridge Evening News, and have taught classes on civics, ethics, and moral standards in Sunday School classes on the issue of homosexuality.

I believe in educating the people, and letting the people vote, especially on controverial matters such as abortion, marriage, tax increases, emminent domain, etc.
I believe in the men and women in our military, and will ALWAYS put support of our troops and returning soldiers above any support for illegal immigrants, unions, and special interst groups.
I support the idea that those who serve the government serve the people who elected them, and therefore I support the idea that no laws should be passed unless the people have first read the proposals and, whenever an initiative petion is certified, should be allowed to voted on them.
I support the idea that those who serve the government serve the people, and therefore should not be entitled to any benefit or "perk" included in their part-time salaries which is excessive, to those ends, I support elimination of travel expenses for those who live within 35 miles of the statehouse, and elimination of other excessive perks which the common worker is not entitled to....
I support elimination of pension and salary for any elected official convicted of corruption, graft, or gross misuse of taxpayers funds.

FOR 2012 STATE COMMITTEE CANDIDATES ONLY (Republican and Democrat State Committee Members/Candidates):
1. Support of Current Party Chair: He/she has done a good job and deserves our support. I think we would benefit from a change in Party Chair, and I'm looking forward to supporting a new chair with a VERY different outlook from our most recent chair. I have an open mind and look forward to hearing from all the candidates (whoever they may be) in the future.

2. Financial, Mailing, and Fundraising Support of Candidates: I believe our party has appropriately funded candidates. Only minor changes if any would be appropriate. I believe we need to conduct serious fundraising and prioritize our support for STATE REP candidates, not just the Gov.

3. State Party Image and Focus Our message is clear and the voters understand. Our message is confusing, diluted, and voters don't understand what we stand for. We need a serious re-focus and comprehensive information campaign. This is sorely needed, and we need to start NOW! This has been a major failure of our party and its chair.

My personal support of state rep. and other (non-Governor) candidates in 2008, 2010, and TODAY!: Please give examples of what you have done: I have supported candidates that have views consistent with my views as expressed in this survey. This support includes standouts, finance support, phone banking, poll checking and the like.

Your favorite US President of all time, and why: I don't know the US Presidents as well as I should, but I would have to say that George Washington because he had the courage to take on the job of being the first President under a new Constitution which in and of itself took tremendous courage; but he also had a wisdom and humility to step down after two terms.
Your favorite US President of the 20th Century, and why: Ronald Reagan. I voted for him both times. He had the vision, courage, and tenacity to articulate his objectives and to see them through with resounding success. He established the foundation for one of the longest and most prosperous economic expansions in US history, and he defeated the Evil Empire!
Your LEAST favorite US President of the 20th Century, and why: It's a toss up among FDR, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter or Barak Obama. Then again they all are because they seek to destroy the principles of liberty in our founding documents of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution as they were written and understood when they were adopted!

Values/Issue Statements My Christian faith in biblical truths guides me in all that I do. I have studied the scriptures for answers to most of the moral and ethical questions of the day. The Declaration of Independence itself ought to drive all Americans to discern our Creator-endowed rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness just as our Founders did.
I am running because I believe it's time that the Massachusetts Republican Party be held and committed to a platform based on founding principles.
The biggest change I will bring to the office is Conviction and a willingness to stand firm on the founding principles that have made this the greatest and most blessed nation known to mankind.
