DID WE GET A RATING WRONG?
Well, with incumbents, VOTES speak loud, but with "challengers",
picking through the mud can get murky at times.
Have your candidate fill out the questionnaire! Or contact us! E-MAIL US!
Your candidate may be pro-life or pro-abortion. That is his/her option. This site is designed to reflect votes and positions so that YOU know what your candidate's CORE position is on various issues. In the future, our database of each candidate's rating will contain links detailing the candidate's database of votes which earned each particular rating (except congressional, as their ratings are easily tracked at projectvotesmart).
Definitions used on this website:
Pro- 2nd Amendment = supports individual's gun rights
Enforce Immigration Laws = oppose drivers license, free tuition and benefits for illegals
Pro-Family = pro-child: supports marriage between one man and one woman
as he/she would not deny a child the fundamental right
to have a mother, or a father; supports parent rights over state rights
especially with education in our schools
Pro-Life = supports full term protection and birth of babies,
against support of tax dollars for abortion

An open-borders kinda guy who apparently has done NOTHING to prevent illegals from running havoc with our tax dollars. U.S. Border Control "0" rating.
Americans for Immigration Control "0" rating.
English First " F" rating. A true enemy of gun owner's rights.
Congress: MASS. 3rd Congressional District (North Central Mass)
Tsongas is a liberal extremist. Elected in 2007 because her husband held the office and died. Ran on his name, similar in fashion to the prior Kennedy reign.
2012_JANUARY: Website features Niki with liberal Elizabeth Warren. Niki endorses Warren for Senate.

Congress: MASS. 4th Congressional District (RI Border Area)
We've come to the conclusion that without a completed survey,
thus far, it's nearly impossible to figure this guy out. He raised a TON of money from outside Mass in his 2010 run, put a lot of money up front himself on his credit card with a $20K line at one point..That's interesting and probably notable and fine. BUT, he
appears to have put himself on ALL SIDES of most issues.
BIELAT Ducking the Abortion Issue Video:
(we hate to see anyone get their hat handed to them by Barney Frank, but Bielat, what were you thinking??)
Yes?*
He apparently just ducks the issue. Talks all around it..
5) Based on Boston.com article, supports gay marriage. However, on 8-10-10 Jeff Katz Radio broadcast, said one-man, one-woman.
Awaiting candidate survey to assess.
6) Against Roe v. Wade, but it's the law of the land...? Not sure what it means.
In 2010, MCFL endorsed Sean Bielat as he is better than Barney Frank, but frankly MCFL's endorsements that year were, well, they had a hard time..they didn't have too many clear choices....After that endorsement, serveral folks indicated they would NOT renew membership, nor support of MCFL this year, out of protest for their actions. Not sure what to say/add to that.
Listen to Sean on the Laura Ingraham Show She hammers him. She like him, but she can see he wasn't ready for prime time. Let us hope he is a better candidate now?

Talk 1200 Talk Show Host Jeff Katz calls Mr. Tierney "Pockets Tierney" for being "married to the mob."
Tierney: A long-term incumbent staunch on raising taxes and limiting individual choice.
John Tierney : "F-Grade: True enemy of gun owners’ rights. A consistent anti-gun candidate who always opposes gun owners’ rights and/or actively leads anti-gun legislative efforts, or sponsors
anti-gun legislation."
Gets kinda sick that this guy's family/wife can launder $8million, plead guilty, and Tierney acts like Reinhold in Casablanca "shocked that there's gambling going on in this establishment" while being handed his winnings..... sad, all too sad.
ENDORSED a DEMOCRAT against a Republican back in 2007. Typically labeled a "RiNO" for his "Republican in Name Only" positions. Famous for promoting his personal lifestyle.
*Ratings each year from CLT run from A to B to C to D to F. Past few years he's been fine. He has voted against some higher-profile tax increases. We've updgraded him from his 2001 lows of a solid D to a "leaning" to reflect his recent changes of heart. He pulled a solid 100% A in 2009 just prior to announcing his run for Lt. Gov. Hmmm.....
Not also that as of last notice, he's against the ballot question to roll back the state's sales tax.
Richard Tisei "is a cosponsor of HB 1728, the “transgender rights” or “bathroom bill,” a bill that would open public restrooms, locker rooms and other private areas to anyone of any gender regardless of biological sex. If elected, Tisei will be an advocate for radical social changes opposed by common sense conservatives." from http://liberalbaker.wordpress.com/
Hudak: A fresh face with any eye towards supporting Americans and protecting families by keeping taxes low. Has suspended campaign (January 23, 2012).
Partial note from him on the radio:
"...
Although my family is fully supportive of my continued run, there are needs here too as I have put my campaign first, too often at their expense. And they need to be first for awhile.
The prospect of not following through and forcing Richard Tisei to be honest with his true record and motivation for running was one of my most difficult struggles in coming to this decision. I relish the opportunity, and will in 2014, because I’m sure you all know that little will change if he is elected. Worse, I know that this leaves most of you no real choice at all in this District in 2012.
I also heartily endorse Scott Brown. Put aside everything – and remember that he stood up when no one else in Massachusetts had the character to do so. He was not a career politician (yet), and has the character and fortitude to stand on his values and defend the votes he takes...."

From his website:
“At a time when most career politicians in Washington are willing to bankrupt our country to get your vote, Matt Temperley will tell you the truth with solid evidence that cannot be ignored.”
Matt Temperley advocates for:
Lower taxes in order to reduce unemployment and recover the economy.
A strong reduction of our National Debt.
A withdrawal from Afghanistan only after the mission is accomplished.
A rational approach to our social problems not grounded on either neo-liberal or neo-conservative views.
